The Brown Star Lodge is located 200 km NW of Mackenzie B.C. in the community of Germansen Landing,
which is a stretch of road 20 miles long in the middle of the Omineca Provincial Park. This area is rich in history with the first 'goldrush' being back in the 1870's followed by others in the 1930's and 1980's.
Many of the old buildings and mining sites can still be found and explored.
Surrounded by rivers, lakes, mountains and forests, this area is an outdoor paradise ideal for fishing, hunting
(WMU 7-38), hiking, gold panning, camping and snowmobilers in the winter.
You can access the Germansen Landing year round by road.
20 miles away is Manson Creek, another community with a store and some active mining sites.
(go to www.mansoncreek.com for more information on the area).
